Villondo Family | Vasquez Rocks Family Shoot

My favorite family to photograph and document! I’ve known these guys for so many years, and especially my best friend Pat since high school! Crazy how our little group of friends now have beautiful families which means we rarely see each other. They wanted something with a desert vibe but not too far from LA. Of course Joshua Tree was the first pick, but that’s too far a drive for them, plus for the baby.

Vasquez Rocks near Santa Clarita was the perfect spot! It’s only about an hour away from LA and you can just park right inside the heart of the park so we didn’t have to hike much for some nice spots. We did shoot midday which I don’t often shoot because of harsh light, but you have to remember that you’re on their time with a busy family like them! I didn’t mind at all too! You have to make it work either way and I loved how these turned out! Can’t wait to shoot when the little guy gets older haha love you guys!
