Frankie and Kenneth’s wedding at Bel-Air Bay Club sits right on the bluffs of Pacific Palisades. The venue only hosts one wedding a day, so the whole property felt like it belonged entirely to them.

We started the day inside, getting ready in a room with big windows looking out toward the ocean. Frankie and Kenneth were relaxed from the start. Down to earth, easy to be around, the kind of couple who set the tone for everyone else in the room.

That energy carried straight into the ceremony. The lawn overlooks the Pacific, and everything about the setup, the flowers, the light, the view, did a lot of the visual work on its own. Guests were emotional and loud in the best way when the two of them kissed at the end.

Portraits happened right after, weaving through the palm trees along the property with the ocean as a backdrop. No rushing between spots. Just Frankie and Kenneth being themselves while the light did what it needed to do.

The reception moved indoors as the sun went down. Dancing, drinks, everyone loose and having a good time. It was the kind of night that felt genuinely fun rather than performative.

I shot a mix of digital and film throughout the day. The architecture at Bel-Air Bay Club, the Spanish arches and iron chandeliers, gave the film frames a lot to work with.
